  • The life of Crown Princess Margareta of Sweden between 1905-1920

    Hotel Hellsten We welcome Mårten Hougström who is a graduate in economics and works as a business controller. Since his youth, he has been very interested in history, especially royal history and genealogy. In recent years, he has given a large number of lectures on various European princely houses. Mårten has been chairman of the Friends of the Armoury, a friends' association of the Royal Museum of Sweden, and he has previously held board positions in several other associations. , Crown Princess Margareta´s life in Sweden 1905-1920 Princess Margareta of Connaught was in 1905 married to the later King Gustaf VI Adolf of Sweden. She died young but had a very interesting life which we will hear more about in this presentation with many pictures. She became mother of five children, made many paintings and was very interested in sports. The speaker Mårten Hougström works as a business controller, has been the President of Friends of Royal Armoury 2018-2022 and had many lectures in recent years about Royal History.

    Hotel Hellsten We are so glad to host Linus Peterson who is co-founder of Swedish Longevity Cluster and author of 'Läkemedel mot Åldrande' (Medicines Against Aging). He has worked on the problem of aging for 20+ years, including work on stem cells at Karolinska Institutet and within the longevity biotech startup scene. Currently he is a consultant within the pharmaceutical industry., , , Linus Petersson will give a brief overview of the science of aging, and the numerous ways drugs targeting aging itself are being developed. He'll also touch upon the ethical considerations of indefinite lifespan extension. Finally, why this is practically relevant within our lifetimes, we'll get an overview of the new longevity industry and the 100s of companies that are developing these drugs today.
