We all want to fly safely and arrive at our destinations on time and in one piece! Yet most of us have no idea of the complex tasks carried out by the people and systems responsible for Air Traffic Management. 

In this talk Christer Schöling will tell us why Air Traffic Management is needed and how it was developed into what it istoday. He'll tell us what an air traffic controller does and what  his/her tasks are and he'll describe the the basic elements of ATM. Finally he'll take a look into the future and suggest how air traffic will be managed in the future.
