Agneta Livijn, an internationally acclaimed artist and designer, has spent decades redefining the boundaries of art, design, and craftsmanship. With a career that seamlessly blends her Swedish roots and her love for the Mediterranean lifestyle, Agneta has built a legacy of timeless artistry.

Growing up in the stunning Karl Gerhard villa in Côte d’Azur, which her father acquired in 1971, Agneta was captivated by the Mediterranean landscape, lifestyle, and rich artistic heritage. Her profound connection to the Riviera continues to inspire her work to this day. Agneta studied at Anders Beckman’s School of Design in Sweden, the San Francisco Art Institute in the USA, and Académie La Grande Chaumière in France, equipping her with a global perspective and a refined artistic sensibility.

Since launching Agneta Livijn AB in Stockholm in 1995, Agneta’s designs have become sought-after internationally. Collaborations with renowned companies like IKEA, Habitat, and CAP MODERNE have established her as a leader in innovative, exclusive design concepts. Her handmade ceramics—such as the iconic striped Caffè latte cup, sold worldwide for over 25 years—perfectly encapsulate her philosophy of fusing artistry with practicality.

In addition to her work for global brands, Agneta creates her own collections of handmade ceramics and rustic stoneware, designed in Sweden and meticulously produced in Italy and Portugal. Her collections are celebrated for their blend of functionality, beauty, and craftsmanship, and include everything from crockery to unique kitchen aids.

Agneta's artistry transcends ceramics. She has held numerous art exhibitions, including a recent showcase at Elie Art Galerie, located in the historic Château de Crémat in France, where she debuted her 2024 painting collection. Inspired by her youth on the French Riviera, she also designed La Casa del Mare, a stunning art villa in Torekov, Sweden, with Eileen Gray’s Cap Martin villa as her “raw model.”

Her connection to Eileen Gray culminated in a prestigious collaboration with Cap Moderne in 2019, where Agneta designed espresso cups featuring patterns inspired by Gray’s iconic rugs. These cups are now featured in the Cap Moderne Museum shop.
